Matthew Waldron, CRPS®

Wealth Advisor

Matthew Waldron is the third generation of his family to serve clients as a wealth advisor — a legacy he carries with pride and purpose into every client relationship.

A proud Virginia Tech alumnus, Matthew earned recognition as an All-ACC football player and letterman for the Hokies — an experience that gave him a deep appreciation for preparation, teamwork, and performing when it counts. He began his financial career at Morgan Stanley in 2013, building a strong foundation in financial planning and investment management before joining Waldron Financial in 2026. He holds the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®) designation.

His Wake Forest practice serves retirees, pre-retirees, families, and business owners who want an advisor that treats them like a neighbor — because that is exactly what he is.

Outside the office, Matthew's world revolves around his wife Amanda and their two kids. He loves helping his son Reid with hockey training — Reid has inherited his dad's competitive streak — and nothing beats being in the stands watching his daughter Claire play soccer, or getting out on the field to help her sharpen her game. When the season is right, Matthew and Reid head out hunting and fishing together, joined by their two Boykin Spaniel hunting dogs, Hunter and June Bug. It's the kind of time together that Matthew doesn't take for granted.

Faith, the Buffalo Bills, and the Buffalo Sabres round out the rest — though he'd tell you rooting for Buffalo teams requires a fair amount of faith too.

"The years are short and fast — you have to be present for what matters."
